Problem: Q23

Predict: I will need to make sure the correct values come together.

Clarify: I will need to find the correct number spots.

Find the big question: How do these numbers fit into the grid?

Solve: I started with the 4 digit numbers as there were less of this type. Then I began trying to fit the 3 digit numbers into there places on the grid connected to the 4 digit numbers.

Summary: I used the trial and error strategy.

Predict: I will need to work out the value of each different bead.

Clarify: I will then need to add the beads to confirm my answer.

Find the big question: what is the value of the last string?

Solve: I thought of some number combinations that add together to equal 16. I worked out that the dark shaded beads equal 2 and the light shaded beads equal 5 then I worked out those for my answer then I worked out the blank beads for 6 so then the answer was 23.

Summary: I used the guess check and  improve strategy.

A Tornado is a very strong column of air.  It is an uncontrollable natural occurrence.

A Tsunami is the Japanese word for tidal wave.  A tidal wave is huge and comes onto land and breaks buildings.

Appreciation is a feeling we have when someone dose something for you.

volcanoes are big mountains that shoot out coal and lava.
